Chipotle is chipotle...we all know it's tasty. My dad and I came here on Saturday to grab dinner. (I had gone to the Streeterville location the other day with colleagues and had chips and guac, so I had been craving an actual meal.) We both got vegetarian burritos/burrito bowls and two tofu tacos. It was all excellent. That said, the reason for this review is that the two guys behind the counter were fantastic. I walked out feeling like I had an exceptional customer service experience.

This Chipotle location is consistently the worst. Every time I decide to give them another shot I end up wishing I just went to Portillo's next door. First of all, it's always filthy inside, with food and garbage on most of the tables. Burritos are usually poorly wrapped, rice is often undercooked, and sometimes the guacamole is bad too. The last time I was there, my guacamole was yellowish, meaning the avocado was not ripe, and I had 2 HUGE chunks of hard, brown avocado that took up over half the cup. This location also doesn't have the drip tops on the bottles of tobasco... This seems like an insignificant detail, but the sauce comes out way too fast without it. My experience at this Chipotle is always awful, especially when I compare it to other locations like Wheaton.

I know several other people that have been dissatisfied with this location besides me so I'm not just an overly picky customer. On many occasions the chicken is nearly or completely burnt, the hot salsa isn't very HOT and on a couple occasions my order has been made wrong. That being the place is pretty clean and the staff is friendly.

Most Chipotles are pretty much the same except I never cared for this location too much. I don't like where the building is because the parking lot is so small and busy. The chicken is always burnt and they give very small portions. I've had a couple of experiences when they messed up a simple order and they would have to redo it over again.

I have frequented this Chipotle quite a bit and it is very hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good and others its cold and under cooked rice. The last time I was in they gave me a burrito bowl instead of a burrito. When I returned the food the lady behind the counter just dumped the bowl into a tortilla and sent me on my way. Needless to say I will not be back.

This location is always hearty on the portions. Never had a disappointing meal and the employees are always friendly. Plus they get you in and out quickly, which is always nice. Try the burrito bowl with barbacoa, white rice, pico, lots of corn salsa, cheese, and guacamole. My mouth is watering already!

Well, there's a first and last time for everything. I tried this location on my way home from the bakery I run my business out of in Geneva. The gentleman in line in front of me seemed to be having an issue with the small rations being added to his burrito. Obviously the woman behind the counter was as some Yelpers have described as "stingy" (to which I would agree!). My order was simple. Chicken burrito bowl with brown rice, medium salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and a side of chips and guac. The line prep repeated my "chips and guac" order to the cashier who was apparently somewhere else in her mind. She charged me for the guac and shoved my bowl in a bag. She asked me "Was that chips and guac or just guac?" And I replied "CHIPS and guac, please." Still didn't get it. The best part? When I questioned her (after paying) as to why my chips weren't in the bag, she replied "You didn't ask for them." Then this jerk tried to charge me an extra $2.00 for a bag of chips. So now you're going to run my card again because you can't keep up?! Unreal. She wasn't a total moron though, because she could tell I was pretty annoyed, and decided to act like she was doing me a favor by giving me the chips for free. Next time I'll skip this place and go to the Qdoba closer to home instead.

I haven't had a problem with the service here. A few times the brown rice was on the undercooked side, but it hasn't happened the past few times. I usually get a chicken burrito bowl ($6.25, after tax $6.75). Portions are pretty good, fast service.

They should be more generous with the portions. I had to ask for more cheese 3 times and I swear I was not being a jerk. I just let wanted cheese

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
